Vision

Our Vision - Connecting Christ to our Community

“Connecting Christ to our Community” means intentionally living out the love, truth, and hope of Jesus in both word and action. We seek to connect people to Christ through biblical teaching, authentic relationships, and compassionate service. Everything we do flows from this vision. We seek to reflect the heart of Jesus, strengthen faith, and make a lasting impact in the lives of those around us.

Beliefs

Our Beliefs provide the foundation of our faith and anchor our commitment to follow Christ.

At Wylie Church of Christ, we are dedicated to following Jesus and His Word with sincerity, humility, and love. Our desire is to be a family of believers who hold fast to the truth of Scripture while extending the grace and compassion of Christ to everyone. (Ephesians 4:15; John 13:34-35)

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, our Savior, and the head of the church. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers salvation and new life to all who follow Him. (Matthew 16:16; John 14:6; Romans 5:8; Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate guide for our faith and practice. We seek to study, teach, and live by its truths in all that we do. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; James 1:22; Hebrews 4:12)

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith, repentance, confession of Jesus as Lord, and baptism into Christ for the forgiveness of sins. In Christ, we find forgiveness, purpose, and hope. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9–10; Galatians 3:26–27; Titus 3:5)

We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have been saved by Him. We strive to live in unity, love one another deeply, and serve our community in the name of Jesus. (Ephesians 1:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Romans 12:4–5; John 13:35; Galatians 6:10)

We believe worship is a heartfelt response to God’s goodness and grace. In our gatherings, we seek to worship in spirit and truth, following the simple, Christ-centered pattern found in the New Testament. (John 4:23–24; Acts 2:42–47; Colossians 3:16–17; 1 Corinthians 14:15)

We believe truth and love belong together. We aim to speak the truth in love, welcoming everyone with open arms while encouraging one another to grow closer to Christ. (Ephesians 4:15; 1 Corinthians 13:1–7; John 1:14; 1 John 4:7–12)
